Terms of Service
Effective 2026-09-29
InterServer is a Discord bot made and run by AzNoobz ("I", "me"). It connects a channel in one Discord server to a channel in another so the two read like one channel. These terms cover using the bot. If you add InterServer to a server, or you post in a channel it has connected, these terms apply to you.
Who can use it
You need a Discord account in good standing, and you have to meet Discord's minimum age for your country. Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines apply on top of these terms. If Discord says no, the answer here is no.
Connected channels are public
This is the part people miss, so it gets its own heading. When a channel is connected, everything posted in it is sent to the channel on the other side and can be read by anyone who has access to that channel, including people in a server you are not a member of and cannot see. Channel permissions on your side do not carry over to theirs. Treat a connected channel as public.
Do not post anything in a connected channel you would not post in front of strangers. That includes invite links you want kept private, personal information, and anything you would want deleted later.
Setting up a connection
Only someone who can manage the server can add InterServer or set up a connection. If you set up a connection, you are saying you have permission to share that channel's contents with the server on the other end, and the people on the other end are getting the same deal in reverse. Tell your members a channel is connected. I would put it in the channel topic.
What you may not do with it
- Spam, flood, or use a link to push advertising into servers that did not ask for it.
- Harass anyone, on either side of a connection.
- Send anything illegal, anything sexual involving minors, malware, or content that breaks Discord's rules.
- Use a connection to get around a ban, mute, or timeout in either server.
- Relay a channel's contents to a server whose members were not told the channel is connected.
- Attack the bot itself, whether that is abusing commands, trying to overload it, or trying to get at the machine it runs on.
Moderation is still yours
I am not the moderator of your server and I am not the moderator of the server you connected to. Each side moderates its own members with its own staff and its own rules. If you do not trust the people on the other end, do not connect to them. If a connection stops working out, unconnect it.
I can turn it off
I can remove the bot from a server, break a connection, or block a server or a user from using it, with no notice, if something here is being broken or if the bot is being abused. I do not have to explain myself, though I usually will if you ask in the support server.
It is free and it might break
InterServer costs nothing and comes with no promise that it will be up. It runs on hardware I pay for. It can go down, lose messages, deliver them late, or get discontinued. There is no service level agreement and no refund, because there is nothing to refund at this time. The bot is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind.
To the extent the law allows it, I am not liable for anything that happens because of the bot or because of something someone posted through it. That includes messages that got relayed when you did not want them relayed, messages that never arrived, and anything anyone did with information they saw in a connected channel.
Your content stays yours
I do not claim ownership of anything you post. The bot needs permission to read the connected channel and repost what it reads into the connected channel on the other side, and that is the only use it gets. See the privacy policy for what is and is not kept.
Changes
I can change these terms. The date at the top is the version you are reading. If a change is significant I will post about it in the support server. Using the bot after a change means the new version applies.
